This is my video review of the LG Rumor Touch for Virgin Mobile. This is one of the better prepaid cellphones you can get and Personally, i am very satisfied with it. It has a lot of nice features and isn’t ridiculously overpriced. If you don’t have a cellphone and want one, this is the phone for you.
—————————————————————————————————–
Plans for this phone (monthly)
$25 — 300 Anytime Minutes/Unlimited Text and Data
$40 — 1200 Anytime Minutes/Unlimited Text and Data
$60 — Unlimited Talk, Text, and Data

So, i have recently been playing Mass Effect 2 and Super Mario Galaxy 2 so i can review them, and i thought i would post something for my readers to think about until i do the reviews so….i give you….THE TYPES OF PEOPLE YOU WILL MEET ON THE INTERNET! Enjoy.

Now, in all my experience on the internet, i have found that you can categorize most of the people into subcategories. Now, there are actually, bad ones, so i will start with those, and work my way to the “good” ones.

~THE DOUCHEBAGS~
Now, these are the people who just exist to make your life miserable. They will insult you for no reason and lower you reputation of whatever sort of points you may have. For example, on my video review of Bad Company 2, a pleasant little chap came and, totally unprovoked, started saying I was a “faggget with no life” and a bunch of other bullshit. If you ever come across one of these people, (believe me, you will) then you should just ignore and report them (if possible).

~THE BIPOLAR DOUCHEBAGS~
Now, these are the people who actually have a good side to them….just not towards you. They’re usually friendly towards people they know, and act all nice and joyful. BUT…when you try to communicate with them, that’s when they change for the worst.

~THE WHINERS~
These are people who usually just do one thing only, and do it well, WHINE (or complain). They don’t insult you, but just act like helpless children who can’t find their way in life. Actually, they are closely related to the next two that I am about to name….

~THE LEECHERS~
These are the people who just hang around. They don’t say much, or do much, but if you post anything, they will take whatever they want without giving or saying anything (If you’ve ever been part of any hacking or mod forum you’ll know what I’m talking about). Basically, they are the parasites.

~THE 5 YEAR OLDS~
Now, these are probably the most annoying of them all. They hang around, they might contribute, but boy, they are ANNOYING! Their voices, or the way they type, you choose, are what drives me NUTS. They always act like they know what they’re talking about, but they really don’t have a clue. I’ve actually met a lot of these while playing on the Xbox 360.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, enough with the negatives, let’s move on to the positive people.
~THE “I’LL HELP YOU FOR A PRICE” PEOPLE~
These are probably most related to the BIPOLAR DOUCHEBAGS because, at heart, they are really good people. It’s just that….their outside personalities need work. To deal with these people, you either need to,
A: Get to know them
B: Give them something that’ll make them happy (Don’t ask me how)
~THE KIND PEOPLE~
Before I start with these, I’d like to say a big thank you to all of you on the internet. You make it a better place. Now…..these people are the best of all. They will help you, they will talk to you, they will walk you through every bit of the way before they give up on you. As soon as you meet them and talk to them, you can tell they have a bright, wonderful soul (unless of course, they’re pedos….)
So, i was recently perusing the internet as I always do, and i came across something unusual, if not strange. A walkthrough of Super Mario Galaxy 2. As i was unsure whether the game had come out yet, i googled it, and it hadn’t. So, my number one conclusion was, the game had been leaked on the scene. I immediately googled it, and found an abundance of torrents, most being 1.3 gb large. Looking back to my backup copy of the first Super Mario Galaxy, which was 3.67 gb large (i think) i was surprised that SMG2, was much, much smaller. I have already pre ordered it, so i will have to see if size really makes a big difference in quality.
So, in a lot of “Top xx Games of All Time” articles, most people put either The Legend of Zelda, or some NES game up there. And i don’t think that’s fair. I mean, okay, they started it, but have there been games that use it better? Like, maybe when you first played Zelda on NES is was “revolutionary”. But now, i can’t even figure out what to do. It’s just confusing. I can name at least 10 games i think are better than The Legend of Zelda. Well, my point is, don’t give games a handicap just because they’re old. (Twilight Princess is better than the original)
Let’s face it. If you’re at all a hardcore gamer, there are certain games you should have played. I am going to do descriptions of the top ones that you MUST have played, and then talk about games you should have played. Okay, let’s get to it.
~RETRO~
Super Mario Bros (1985)
Okay, let’s face it. If you’ve never played this game then you’re not a gamer. Or let’s rephrase that, if you’ve never played a game in the MARIO franchise then you’re not a gamer. You can just stop reading this right now because…YOU ARE NOT A GAMER. I mean, who can forget the game that ignited the gaming industry. From sneaking through pipes, getting high on mushrooms, and busting bricks with your head WHILE high on mushrooms, this game has it all. Not to mention getting cheap thrills from princess peach
The Legend of Zelda (1986)
This was the first TRUE RPG experience. From exploring dungeons and getting the Master Sword, this game has almost unlimited replay value. This game introduced the sandbox genre and continues to influence gaming today. With Nintendo continuing to add entries to this franchise, as well as an upcoming Wii title, this series has certainly withstood the test of time.
Punch Out (1984)
This simple but addictive game gave birth to what we now love and hate as quicktime events. To be honest, the whole game is really one big quicktime event with a couple of buttons. But with multiple ways to execute them, this game remains fun to this day. And even had a modern reinvention as a Wii title, which was, by the way, AWESOME.
Excitebike (1984)
This was the first awesome racing game. With ramps, motorcycles, boost pads, and Nitro boosts, this game was incredibly fun even for people like me who aren’t big fans of racing. The game’s standing popularity shows, as there have been numerous adaptations of the game in 3D, including ExciteTruck, ExciteBots: Trick Racing, and a WiiWare title that i can’t quite remember. This game continues to influence racing games, and it is most strongly seen in Mario Kart.
Pac-Man (1980)
I can’t really describe this game, but i think it fits best in the “puzzle” genre. I also can’t tell you how much money i have wasted in my lifespan playing this game in restaurants, bars, etc. A while ago, just about every establishment and arcade had at least ONE Pac-Man arcade machine in them. And to this day, 30 years after the game was released, some places still have them. There have also been many different mods and adaptations of the simple game. Some being downright TERRIBLE. The best mod being Ms. Pac-Man, which grew so much to replace most of the Pac-Man arcades. But i think, the best one was the original, which was both original, thought provoking, and fun.
Galaga (1981)
This is an AWESOME GAME. Case closed.
Okay, this game is what made me fall in love with…um…violent games. Rescuing a captured ship for the first time was an amazing feeling. This was the only other game in which i wasted countless quarters on playing at arcades. Unlike Pac-Man, this game hasn’t had THAT many remakes and mods. I actually know of one remake, and not many people play it. This just shows that everyone loved the game the way it was.
Metroid (1986)
THIS GAME WAS AWESOME. Most people (including myself) think of this game as a 2D sandbox game. But i think it’s more than that. It is a 2D sandbox puzzle open world kickass platforming shooter mystery. If you put all those together, you get a badass game. The Metroid franchise has flourished since the original entry, and every Metroid game is always awesome. There have been numerous sequels, including a remake of the original, and 3D titles which are always dubbed “Prime”.
—————————————————————————-
~Semi-Retro~
GoldenEye 007 (1997)
This was probably the first GOOD first person shooter that came out. I remember having a blast playing it after a day of stress and i mean DAMN it was a blast. Even after the countless amount of first person shooters that have come out since 1997, this game is still up there with the best. And let’s not forget the 4 player versus mode. After playing it for the millionth time, shooting the crap out of your friends with Oddjob still hasn’t gotten old.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998)
The Legend of Zelda pretty much introduced open world sandbox games. Ocarina of Time introduced them in 3D. Many people compare this game to Super Mario 64, but you really can’t compare Mario and Zelda. That’s like comparing Dig Dug to Call of Duty. Besides the fact that Link is soooo much more badass than Mario, Ocarina of Time has waaay more replay value than any Mario game. Think about it, you can’t really compare collecting treasure, finding heart pieces (or whatever they’re called), and upgrading weapons to find red coins. -.-
Super Mario 64 (1996)
Following Ocarina of Time a year later was Super Mario 64. Another open world sandbox title, and a great one at that. Being totally honest, i never finished the game. Partly because: 1 – i got bored of it. And 2 – it was a bit on the challenging side for me (i was 9). But after going back and playing a couple of the levels again, it occurred to me that i never knew you could do a backflip after turning around. This game continues to influence the gaming world with it’s unique mechanics and it’s level of exploration. When it all comes down to it, Ocarina of Time wins in collectables and replay value, but Mario 64 wins in terms of exploration. Especially with cheats
Super Smash Bros. 64 (1999)
I don’t know how to describe this game. I think it is more closely related to a fighter, but has numerous puzzle sequences such as the “Break the Target” and “That lightup board game thing”. It also has the elements of a platformer such as moving platforms and falling through certain areas of the ground. This game has 2 sequels, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This IS a unique game to this day, and is also AWESOME, to this day.
——————————————————————————
~Semi-Semi Modern~
TimeSplitters (2000)
I have to admit one thing, and that is that i have only played this game once. Saying that, it was an awesome game, just that i wasn’t quite a fan of first person shooters when i played it. I can say though it is a good game. Not great, but good enough that most gamers have played it.
Grand Theft Auto 3 (2002-2003)
This was the first open world sandbox shooter driver do anything and anything type of game. The initial concept came from the game Driver, which not too many people have heard of. Anyways, Driver basically made it good; well GTA made it better. If memory serves, in Driver you were confined to your car, provided the name. In GTA, you can really do anything on foot (almost), not to mention it had a level of interactivity WAAY ahead of the competition at the time. If GTA3 did anything, it taught that developers should really not be so hesitant to try new things, because good will usually come out of it.
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (2002)
This game was Sucker Punch’s first…well known game. Now, this is another game i had only played once. The reason i never bought it was because i played it a friend’s house, and when i played it i didn’t have a ps2 yet. When i finally got a ps2, i totally forgot about the game and developer until InFamous came out. And by then i was too lazy to track it down.
Metroid Prime (2002)
Along with being the first 3D Metroid game, it was also the first first-person Metroid game. It was also the best looking game (at the time) and probably, the longest game (at the time). Oh yeah, and it was great. I first played it out of a demo disk that came with some magazine. The whole reason i tried it was because Metroid Fusion was the game that made me fall in love with the Metroid Franchise. No one thought Metroid in first-person would work, but Prime proved it was possible.
Red Faction (2001)
This game was a great first person shooter that was, as i said, great. But it didn’t exactly deliver what it promised. A totally destructable world that you can do anything in. But then they lived up to that promise in Red Faction Guerrilla. I actually beat this game in 4 hours, which was a little short, but maybe that’s also because i used cheats. Hopefully one day there’ll be a truly revolutionary sequel to this game, but of course, that is easier said than done.
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (2004)
This was the next Grand Theft Auto game after the hit title: GTA3. Although nearly all gamers have played this game, provided they were born before 1993, i honestly didn’t really like it. It seemed unpolished and the graphics looked like a PS1 game. Another reason i didn’t like it is probably because i beat GTA4 and Crysis right before playing it, but i can see why it was so good when it came out.
Black (2006)
I couldn’t believe my eyes when i first saw footage of this game. It was easily the best looking game until the Xbox 360 came out. I had the unfortunate luck to have picked Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood instead of this game, a decision i will regret ’till the day i die (psych). But anyways, even to this day, this is an incredibly good looking game. It looks about as good as an early 360 game. It was a bit hard, even on easy, but the challenge also made it very fun. This is probably one of the games that you should have played, not must played, but it’s so good that it should be on the must played list.
Counter Strike (1999)
This game started out as a mod for Half Life, and eventually got more popular than the game it came from. Counter Strike was simply genius. 8 v 8 online multiplayer for some sort of objective. In the game mode in which you have to rescue hostages, it was almost like a first person version of CTF. Counter Strike got so popular, that that people then started modding the mod, and to this day, there are countless mods of Counter Strike and Half Life, including zombie mods, mario mods, etc.
Half Life (1998)/Half Life 2 (2004)
Now, these two games were both released in the time period where PC gaming wasn’t all that popular yet. Despite that, they still sold millions of copies each and changed the storytelling method in games. Half Life also introduced first-person platforming and many other elements that continue to influence games today, and will continue to influence many games to come.
Resident Evil 4 (2005)
This is another zombie game, except it was one of the earlier ones, and it is a great one. Unlike modern day zombie games, it does not support co-op and doesn’t need to. Actually, the game is very story driven, and you’ll just want to massacre the zombies to see how the story unfolds. Actually, let me correct myself, they’re not zombies. They’re Mexicans who are being controlled by some virus thing. The graphics are good and the body dismemberment looks nice. (It’s a PS2 game).
Halo (2001)
Halo 2 (2004)
In my opinion, the Halo franchise is the most overrated franchise EVER. I admit the first game was good, but nothing revolutionary. Halo 2 was a complete mess. It looked good, but that was the only thing good about it. Gameplay sucked, and the story seemed very cheeseball, like all those Star Wars filler books. Just wait until i rant about Halo 3….and Halo junkies, if you’re reading this, i think you’re weird.
Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 (2005)
This game was the first real “tactical” shooter and after that fact, was damn good. The graphics were pretty good at the time, and the AI was great, even to this day. Your squadmates were smart and the enemy AI was equally smart. If you move from your position, the enemy runs around to try and get a better view of you. If your squadmates get killed, there is no way to bring them back (until you complete the level). However you look at it, this game is pretty unique. Oh yeah, it was also a kickass FPS.
Star Wars: Republic Commando (2005)
I can’t believe it. An incredibly, incredibly good Star Wars game? Well, this is it, and even to this day, the visuals hold up, complete with tactical HUD and night vision. Besides Brothers in Arms, this is the other tactial first person shooter of the year. And it was AMAZING. I recently found this game in a drawer and dusted it off, and MAN it was fun. I haven’t played a game this fun since Bad Company 2 came out. I mean, you CAN play it like a run and gun shooter on easy, but on hard, playing tactically is the key to surviving. A simple decision of whether to blow in a door, or hack it and sneak in may determine whether you live, or die. The graphics are equally good. This game is one of the best looking PS2/Xbox games of all time. And if you’re like me, and you have it on the PC, then it actually looks like a 360 game. It’s that good.
Star Wars Battlefront (2004)
Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005)
These are the other two great Star Wars games. Focusing most heavily on multiplayer, this game does a great job of balancing teams no matter what your skill level. The campaign is relatively brief, with only about 9 story missions and a couple optional missions. There are only about a couple of multiplayer modes that play about the same way. Conquest is probably the most fun because…well, it’s exactly the same as Battlefield 2′s conquest mode with Star Wars characters. There are a couple of slight differences, however, such as being able to play as a Jedi or Sith after a 10 killstreak or so.
Any Metal Gear Solid Game (1998 – 2008)
Now, the original MgS games may be categorized as “Retro”, but the majority of the games were released on the PS2 and up. And i haven’t played them all, and honestly, the only one i really liked was Metal Gear Solid 4, mainly because it wasn’t as hard. In the earlier games in the series, i was spending more time trying to survive than following the story; and i usually only play a game’s campaign for the story.
——————————————————————————-
~Modern~
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007)
This game is probably the best first person shooter i’ve ever played. People may argue Modern Warfare 2 is better, but i beg to differ. This game is, in my opinion, much more fun and believable than MW2. I think the thing that makes this game better than MW2 is the sense of scale. Unlike Treyarch, Infinity Ward didn’t go overboard with the scale to make every mission feel like a giant battle. MW2 was a bit too “secret agenty” for my tastes. Whereas CoD4 actually makes you feel like you affect the world. Think of CoD4 as a perfect mix between CoD5 and MW2. It’s that great, and that explains why it got so many game of the year awards.
Call of Duty World at War (2008)
Now, a lot of people thought this game was a disappointment, but it really wasn’t. It was a very good game, not as good as CoD4, but still good. I think Treyarch kiiinda got carried away developing this game. It seems like they built this game around a couple of awesome moments, and then ran out of ideas, so filled the rest of the game with gore and brutality.
Modern Warfare 2 (2009)
This has gotta be one of the most anticipated games of all time. Following the success of Call of Duty 4 and the supposed “disappointment” of CoD5, this game had a lot to live up to. And even though Infinity Ward rushed it a bit for whatever reason, it is still an excellent, excellent game. ALso, i just CaN’t wAit For iT tO Be PoRtEd tO tHe Wii! (yeah!!!!)
Grand Theft Auto 4 (2008)
Wow. That is the simple thing i was thinking of when i first played this game. Not only does it look great, it is an OPEN WORLD SANDBOX GAME!!!! WOW! Don’t see many of those. Sarcasm aside, this is one of the best games of all time. It is absolutely amazing how Rockstar was able to keep the whole city alive at once. Even in the multiplayer the city is alive. Every person and civilian you see on the street has their own personality, whether it be how they react to you going up and randomly punching them, or hitting their car, or jacking their car, etc.
Batman Arkham Asylum (2009)
This game is a perfect mix of fighter, puzzle, platformer, and sandbox(ish). This is also the best comic book game ever, with Spiderman 2 coming in close second. I can’t explain how good the fighting engine is and how well it flows. Well, considering the fact that it’s called the “FreeFlow” fighting engine it does make pretty good sense. The game also has some of the best voice acting ever, and Mark Hamill doing a fantastic job as the Joker. A sequel is on its way and i can’t wait.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (2009)
Now, if this game says anything, it is that for a game to be good, it doesn’t have to have anything original, but just has to make stuff a helluva lot better. That’s exactly what Uncharted 2 did. It has an excellent freerunning system, and shooting system, and fighting system, etc. It is also a great platformer and the story has a bit of educational value talking about some true facts about Marco-Polo.
Metal Gear Solid 4 (2008)
This game is a game that has something for everybody, and is both a great game and a story closer. It’s kind of weird, because the AI is incredibly smart. It somehow adapts itself to your method of playing games. And even though this game is a linear game, the maps still feel like they have a sense of openness to them, considering there are multiple ways to get through a level, and even hidden areas that only your little robot, the MK. II and go into. The game also looks great, and the developer Kojima loves showing off that fact, because all the cutscenes are rendered in real time, and it’s almost like their asking you to test their attention to detail, because if some cutscenes you can zoom in and pan the camera, and even move the camera.
Halo 3 (2007)
As much as i spit on the Halo franchise, the Spartan armor has to be the single most realistic looking humanoid object in gaming. Now, the Halo 3 is by no means a bad game, i just don’t think it’s as good as people say. The multiplayer is okay, but i think it is a little unbalanced, considering the fact that if one person gets the gravity hammer, they practically win the match (unless, of course, they suck). Also, the story mode is nothing special; aliens invade and one man and a rouge alien fight the rest of them. -.-
Crysis (2007)
This game is more eye-candy than a good game. The story is relatively generic, and the shooter mechanics aren’t all that good. But when it comes to visuals, certain parts of this game look better than anything on the market. The interiors, more so than anything else, look VERY CLOSE to photorealism. The facial animations and HUD effects and also great. Now, the vegetation sorta looks fakey and realistic at the same time. The way the sway with the wind is very believable, and the vegetation is all interactive. If there’s anything that is a trademark of Crysis, it is the was the trees can be dynamically destroyed.
LittleBigPlanet (2008)
I really don’t know how to explain a game like this. I should start out with saying what it most obviously is: a platformer. Except this is a platformer unlike all others because of many reasons. The first being the level of customization. You can make your own levels and i have to say that it is VERY user friendly. Also, when you run around the level, you can put stickers on the wall to truly make it your own. You can also customize you characters, and environments (to a certain extent). The second being that the art style is very unique. This game looks almost photoreal when comparing the environments to toys. The third being the mascot is very unique, it’s basically a sack puppet, obviously stated because its name is Sackboy.
—————————————————————————–
Well, this is my list of must play games. Before you even CONSIDER yourself a hardcore gamer, make sure you play these games. They are all excellent games and will satisfy everyone. Now, for the list of SHOULD PLAY games, scroll down.
